The Recreational Respite Program is a unique program, unlike any other in the state of New Mexico, as it is designed for individuals ages 4 – 21 years old with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder, to participate in group recreational activities. Each session focuses on improving muscle strength and muscle tone, emotional, and social skills by engaging in fun and safe group activities held at community locations, such as bowling, horseback riding, trampoline parks, swimming, and many others. Each class runs for 6-8 weeks for 3 hours and are held throughout the year.
