We are thrilled to announce that Abrazos Family Support Services has received a generous $25,000 grant from the Foxwynd Foundation. This crucial funding will empower us to provide essential training for our staff on Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and to adopt a trauma-informed approach in supporting the families we serve.
Did you know that New Mexico has the highest prevalence of ACEs in the United States, with over 20% of children under six experiencing two or more ACEs such as abuse, witnessing violence, and household instability? This alarming statistic underscores the importance of our mission and the vital role of community partnerships.
With the support of the Foxwynd Foundation, we are better equipped to address these challenges and make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and families in New Mexico.
