There are some estimates that autism costs society $137 billion per year. It also impact families – families who may not have the resources for services that fall between the cracks of medical insurance and school resources.

 

That’s where Abrazos comes in. Here are just a few of the ways our Autism Services have a positive impact on local families like Brenna and her mom. Our organized recreation programs help increase social interaction opportunities. They provide increased opportunities for communication through play and interacting with peers. They allow children to engage in physical activities to increase motor skills and help enhance a child’s self-esteem.

 

Just as importantly, our programs give parents a chance to relax and take care of themselves so that they can be better caregivers.

 

But we can’t do it by ourselves. We need YOUR help! As the state has eliminated funding for children with autism, we need donors like you to keep our programs going.
